World Institute of Pain

For enhanced security, we now require 2 Factor Authentication (2FA) to log into WIP website accounts. If you are an existing user, you have until August 25th, 2025 to activate 2FA on your account. After that date, your account will be locked and you will have to contact us for access.

2 Factor Authentication

For enhanced security, we now require 2 Factor Authentication (2FA) to log into WIP website accounts.

2FA requires a secondary method for logging into websites. This is usually an app that is installed on your phone, tablet or computer. Here is a list of commonly recommended authenticator apps:

  • Google Authenticator
  • Sophos Mobile Security
  • FreeOTP Authenticator
  • 1Password (mobile and desktop versions) See: 1Password help
  • LastPass Authenticator
  • Microsoft Authenticator
  • Authy 2-Factor Authentication
  • Any other authenticator app that supports Time-Based One-Time Passwords (TOTP)

How to enable 2FA for your WIP account:

  1. Install the third party authenticator app of your choice on your mobile device.
  2. Navigate to the Wordfence 2FA tab in the My Account area of the WIP website. This is usually easiest if you use a different device to do this. You can use the button below to go directly there, if you are already logged in.
  3. Use your authenticator app on your mobile device to scan the code on the WIP 2FA web page, or type in the code if your authenticator app allows it.
  4. Follow the instructions to activate 2FA.
  5. On the WIP 2FA page, be sure to download the recovery codes and save them in a safe location. You will need those if you ever lose access to your authenticator app.
  6. Once you have activated 2FA and come back later, you will see an option to enter an authentication code every time you log into the WIP website. Simply open your authenticator app to get your new code and enter it in the website form.
