Miles Day MD, DABA-PM, DABIPP, FIPP

Dear esteemed colleagues and cherished friends,

It is with profound gratitude and tremendous honor that I write to you today as your newly elected President of the World Institute of Pain. I am deeply moved by the overwhelming support you have shown me throughout this journey, and I want to express my heartfelt appreciation for the trust you have placed in me to lead our distinguished organization.

As I step into this pivotal role, I am filled with both excitement and a deep sense of responsibility. The opportunity to serve you and our global community of pain management professionals for the next two years is one that I do not take lightly. I am committed to building upon the remarkable foundation that has been established before us and to advancing our shared mission with renewed vigor and purpose.

I must acknowledge the exceptional leadership of our outgoing president and the dedicated members of the previous executive board. Their visionary guidance, tireless dedication, and unwavering commitment to excellence have provided us with an invaluable template for continued growth and success.

The strength of the World Institute of Pain lies not in its leadership alone, but in the collective expertise, passion, and dedication of each and every one of you—our members. You are the heart and soul of our organization, and it is your active participation and engagement that will determine our future success.

Over the coming months, I will be working closely with the Chair of Sections, Sudhir Diwan, and new section chairs to identify new opportunities for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and professional development.

I envision a World Institute of Pain that not only continues to grow in numbers but also deepens its impact on the lives of patients worldwide. Together, we will advance the science of pain management, elevate standards of care, and ensure that our organization remains at the forefront of medical innovation and education.

I invite each of you to join me in this exciting chapter of our organization’s history. Your expertise, your enthusiasm, and your active participation will be the driving forces behind our continued success. I encourage you to reach out to me directly with your ideas, suggestions, and feedback as we work together to shape the future of the WIP.

Thank you once again for your confidence in my leadership and for your ongoing commitment to our shared mission. I look forward to the remarkable achievements we will accomplish together in the years ahead.

With sincere appreciation and warm regards,

Miles
President
